First blog post ever! :D
For a few years now I've thought about creating my own fantasy world of lore and miniatures for RPGs and Wargaming. I've added some tidbits here and there, some stories and lore. But never quite put it all together. Now that's what I'm trying to do with Whirlworld. Thought a blog might keep honest and on track to keep adding things bit by bit.
Mudwall's Decay
Mudwall was once a peaceful town bustling with life until one faithful day when unbeknownst to anyone the town started to rapidly decay. The stories tell of a curse fallen upon the town. First crops withered and died. Then small rodents and animals would turn up dead and decaying. Birds fell from the sky. And then... its citizens, with no warning at all started to fall ill and die. It was the first such town to be hit by this unknown affliction but it was sadly not the last. The curse, now only known as Mudwall's Decay, spread to village, cities and castles. Unrelenting, unstoppable, leaving in its part an army of undead. Hungry for flesh and tireless the Gorgers Throng now seeks to devour all the lands.
The Miniatures
And with that we got to the design and sculpting phase of this fun story - The Gorgers. Each a modular miniature for creating armies of zombies and ghouls. :)
